We have a newspaper thief! Two weeks in a row, a patron has removed the newspapers early in the day, meaning that they’re not available for other patrons to read. On at least one occasion, the patron was seen doing this.
Please do not hesitate to challenge anyone walking out the door with our property, even if it’s only a newspaper. It may be done absent-mindedly, but it impacts on everyone. It’s OK to ask for them back!
In future, please sticker the papers with the stickers now in the drawer. We will shortly be introducing newspaper sticks so that the papers are more clearly not for removal. It will also allow us to display them a bit better.
