We all know that there are occasionally some disgruntled customers in the library who may cause unpleasantness on occasion. Please try to keep interactions with these people to a polite minimum. The trustees do not expect you to act as bouncers, or as punch-bags. Try to remain calm and polite. If the customer persists, please hand them one of the slips which are being kept in the cupboard above the printer (in a box labelled COMPLAINTS SLIPS. These give the complainer the instruction to contact me on info@cricklewoodlibrary.org.uk direct with their complaint. The trustees will handle it and get back to them once we’ve discussed what should be done.

Once you’ve given the slip to the person making the complaint, please do not engage further with them.
