As you know, we don’t take cash. There are sometimes occasions when we make exceptions, such as when someone orders a drink and then discovers they don’t have their card with them, or when someone wants to bung us a tenner in donations.
Up to now, what has happened is that we’ve just bunged the cash in the cash box and forgotten about it. Understandably, our bookkeeper does not approve. So, with immediate effect, when taking cash, please also take the time to record it in the cash book (which sits on top of the cash box), in the cafe cupboard.
